A day in the life...

This day was going to be complicated. Raleigh and I both had to work at 6 in the morning. We have this little baby you know. We have Allie's Halloween Choir Concert this evening. And Kaci and Quin were invited to Girl's Night Out.

Here's how it goes... "a day in the life of the complicated"Here we are at 4:15 am. All dressed and ready to go on our journey to Aunt Lindsay's. This is a big day for Peyton, her first time going to a babysitter. Lindsay is the most diligent mother. She knows all the rules and follows them. I knew that my baby was in the best hands. I was going to take a picture, but that's rude to do to a person at 5:00 in the morning.

I am prepping for the trucks. We get two a day. I off load them, reload them and do all the paperwork after they leave. Then I receive all the product and get everything ready for the truck team to come and put everything out on the floor.

This is what I do at work. It's a very physically demanding job. It's a boy's job. A girl really shouldn't be doing it... especially a pregnant girl. But I love it. I love it every single day. Somedays I can't believe they pay me to come and have so much fun.
My work day was over... and I go to get in my car to drive back up to Salt Lake to pick up my little baby and walk out to a white out. It took me twice as long to get there as it normally would and I drove very slowly behind someone who looked like they knew what they were doing so I wouldn't spin off into a ditch and make this day even more complicated.
Quincey and me in the car at 4:30 pm getting set to drive in the blizzard to meet the girls

We ate at a cute little place called the DODO in SugarHouse. The food was delicious and we all chose different things so we could sample.

Then it was off to Kingbury Hall to watch Odessey Dance and Thriller. I even know someone who was one of the dancers, so I tried to watch her the most.
This is what our group looked like to the right. Lindsay, Shauna, Me and Quincey.
This is what our group looked like to the left. Sandy, Chelsea and Makenzie
Keep in mind while we were hootin' it up in Salt Lake, Raleigh is back home videoing the Halloween Choir Concert, taking the 4 remaining kids to McDonalds, helping with homework, putting finishing touches on Halloween Costumes and holding down the fort. Everyone should know that I LOVE HIM!!!

And this is how I felt as I stumbled into bed, kissed my sweet baby and my smokin' hot husband and tried to catch up on a few ZZZZZZZZZZZZ. So that I could be all refreshed and ready to start it all over again.

Thank you Lindsay and Shauna for giving us the opportunity to see something that we will never forget. We had such a fun night.

Do you remember me asking you on the phone yesterday..."how was your day? anything exciting going on? anything new? how's the baby?, etc. Your response to it all..."fine, we're boring, Peyton's good." Quite the understatements!!! All sorts of excitement plus Peyton's first day with a babysitter!! I remember your first day with a babysitter, Shirl Lineback, I called her every 15 minutes. It was a journal entry day. I guess by the time you're on #5 it's just "Peyton's good." Oh well, I guess I'll quit asking questions because obviously I don't get any "real" answers. Glad you had such an exciting day, you all look really cute at dinner!

It was a great night! Thanks for making all of the sacrifices to get there. I appreciate it. Now I just have one question: Is Pregnant girl in the past tense? or present tense?

Thanks for asking that Shauna, because I was thinking the SAME THING!! So, Kac, Is there something you're not telling us??? Love the post. Karen is right, you ARE a rockstar!! You totally kick butt at EVERYTHING you do. And...you look AMAZING while doing it. I miss your face. Love ya!

Oh geez... you can stop that right now!! I was speaking past tense. You're going to make my mom nervous

Believe me, I WAS nervous!! As I read your post, I immediately wondered if you meant past or present tense but decided to push that right out of my mind and carry on with my day in "blind oblivion"! Thanks for clearing that up.
