We have a six bedroom house. And five kids for the first time since we have lived here. So a big HUGE massive moving around is currently taking place. We have had weeping, wailing and gnashing of teeth. We have had hair pulling, back biting (literally) kicking and punching. Each delightful daughter plead her case for why they should get this room or that and Raleigh and I were the Supreme Court Justices.
On Sunday night after much pondering and praying, the big announcement was made and each girl learned her fate. After a few door slams, a stomping down the stairs and two "that's not fair's"... the moving began. No three LITTLE girls should have this much stuff. I am guessing that we will all be settled in this time next year judging by how slow everyone is going. Raleigh's job is to break up all the fights. My job is to go around and shut all the doors to the rooms so that we can pretend that "what we can't see isn't really there." But denying it doesn't make it go away. And I am quickly losing my mind.
Quincey loses focus for 36 minutes of every hour by stopping to check her facebook or straighten her hair or text someone.
Or take a teenagery nap.
Or polish her toenails.
Morgan, who is a very hard worker and really does know how to clean, has taken on the challenge with a positive attitude, but she brought triple the boxes home from Portland that she left here with and so I just keep walking by her room to look at what appears to be NO PROGRESS to wish her good luck. I have no idea where she is going to put it all.
And Allie... oh sweet Allie... she is such a victim of circumstance. She will sleep wherever we tell her to and put her clothes wherever we say... she gets no vote and has no say and as long as she can watch Spongebob just before bedtime, she doesn't really care where she is.
What chaos! I need a bubble bath and a massage.

So it looks like Morgan and Allie are sharing a room downstairs and Quincey gets the extra room upstairs, right? You really should give one of those "sharing" girls Peyton's room since she sleeps with her parents EVERY night, she absolutely does not need her own room or BED for that matter. Well good luck with all that moving around, etc. I'm sure it will all turn out great. P.S. I'll bet Brayden is so happy to be the ONLY boy!!
Looks crazy up there. I can't believe you have 5 kids. I don't know how you do it. It's gotta be nice to have them all with you once again (even though the fighting, screaming, teasing, etc. will be that much more). Hope all is going well.
Looks messy...but remember things always have to get messier before they get really clean!...but Clean...with five kids...??? It may NEVER be clean again!
Love you!
