I mean.... seriously....you've got to be joking

2 months, I've been looking. On line, in stores, on line some more. I carry my swatches wherever I go. I can't sleep at night. I was in a panic, I only have 9 (well really only 8 days). How could I possibly bring a new baby home to a darling nursery with no quilt? I just couldn't if I wanted to be able to look at myself in the mirror.

On Tuesday, I had a doctor's appointment and on the way home, really in an effort to get out of traffic I stopped at the Quilt Shop. It was 5:55 and they were closing at 6:00. I walked in "I know you're closing" I say "but here are the colors of my baby's room, do you have anything that will work?" The cute little old lady winks at me... "only the perfect anything" she says "AND it's on CLEARANCE." Because I am crying over everything currently, I didn't disappoint myself and burst into tears. "Thank you, Thank you" I say sobbing and rubbing it on my face. "I am a good mom, I am a good mom" And so today I will go back and buy every matching item they have. And oh my gosh, you would die over the accessories. Oh bring on the little girl, I am officially ready. And I can scratch one more emotionally inspiring thing off my list

Hey Mom, I made that lamp. It is soooo much better in person. But blood, sweat and tears went into it. Okay... no blood. But I did sweat on the couch while I was making it and Raleigh had to turn the air conditioner up and turn on the fan. I then once or twice I shed a couple of tears in frustration and a couple of swear words came out. But it's pretty cute. Not as cute as the wall of course, but not too shabby for a girl who can't even TIE HER OWN SHOES.

I could CRY...and I'm not even emotionally strung out. The quilt is TO DIE FOR!!! Perfect in every way! The lamp is so cute too! Of course, I KNOW you have it in you to make such adorable things when you have the time and put your mind to it. I don't know what's up with the Johnson's lotion, however...I'll bring the Baby Magic! This is a lucky baby girl, not only is she coming to a cute, happy, wonderful family but she'll be sleeping in the cutest room ever!

Oh my heavens... that is absolutely the cutest nursery I have ever seen! This little girl is so lucky to get to sleep in there every day. I want to share her room. I feel so happy just looking at it.
The lamp is very cute. I am excited to see it in person... and of course the little girl that it was created for.
